Spring is finally well in place in Montreal. After a winter that allowed us to appreciate the best the metropolis has to offer during the cold season, such as « Esplanade Tranquille » skating rink just a few steps from HOTEL10, now the snow has melted, the sun is out and daylight is getting longer and longer. No doubt, « SPRING » is back in town !
When spring returns, if there is one thing we love to do in Montreal and for what we’re well known : going out for a bike ride ! Did you know that there is no less than 901 km of bike paths on the island of Montreal ? No wonder you can easily rent a self-service bike vélo en libre-service (BIXI) on almost every street corner and that the city annually holds several cycling events such as the « Tour de l’Île de Montreal » (day and night), the Go Bike Metropolitan Challenge, le Défi métropolitain Go Vélo and much more !
To further simplify life for cyclists and make Montreal ever greener, since April 15th 2023, it has been possible to transport your bike in the subway. And for the first time in their history, the BIXI stations will remain in place all winter long, allowing users to ride their bicycle 365 days a year. Although Montreal is a cycling city, until very recently, few hotel establishments were certified « Welcome to Cyclists ».
HOTEL10 : the most recent 4-star hotel certified by « Vélo Québec » in Montreal
We are therefore pleased to announce that the 2023 cycling season will be the first in which HOTEL10 can boast of being an establishment certified « Welcome to Cyclists » by the organization « Vélo Québec ». Just in time for spring, we achieved this certification and met the requirements; so we are ready ! Touring bike enthusiasts, Sunday cyclists or anyone wishing to visit the province of Quebec on two wheels this season can therefore be assured of being well received by us as we will surely take the greatest care of them (and their bicycle of course !). To become an accredited member, a hotel must respect many rules :
- Have a repair kit containing a specific list of accessories on site, such as : bicycle pump, repair keys, screwdriver and a chain tool, among others :
- Allow customers to store their bikes in their room at no additional cost ;
- Be located near a cycle path or a green route.
So that’s what we are offering you this season ! Located in the heart of the « Quartier des Spectacles », HOTEL10 is just a few pedal strokes from the Saint-Urbain bike path which crosses the center of our city, from the Old Port of Montreal to Mount Royal Park. A prime location for visiting the various neighborhoods of the metropolis, from the waterfront to the top of the mountain.

Summer of 2023 will be undoubtedly the season for cycling !
We also suggest that you take advantage of your next visit in town to explore the REV (our unique express bike network) which crosses Montreal on 184 km of protected routes entirely dedicated to cyclists. The project that will be fully completed in 2027 will include a total of 17 traffic axes, all connected to existing cycle paths. Closest to HOTEL10 : the Saint-Denis axis for an immersive experience on two wheels of downtown Montreal.

Montreal is a city of bicycles and HOTEL10 is a hotel that loves Montreal and has been embedded in the heart of its history and culture since its inauguration. Becoming a « Vélo Québec » certified hotel was therefore quite natural for us, as we promote well-being and city life.
